Keilor Downs

Keilor Downs is an established residential area 17 km north west of Melbourne with a population just over 11,000. Development of the area dates primarily from the late 1970s, with rapid growth into the late 1980s. The population is expected to grow steadily as people learn more about its convenient location, excellent amenities and affordable lifestyle.

Major features of the area include Centro Keilor Shopping Centre, Green Gully Reserve, Brimbank Leisure Centre and a range of primary and secondary schools. Keilor downs borders St Albans and Taylors Lakes and thus has a huge variety of eateries, cafes, retail stores and community groups close by.  Bus routes 421 and 419 service the area, and it is a short trip to the Keilor Plains Railway station which is located on the Sunbury line. Proximity to the Calder Freeway and Tullamarine Highway provide easy trips into or out of the city.
